There was a hugely successful greyhoundtrader.com pre-Derby sale at Towcester on Monday with a number of potential Star Sports/ TRC English Derby challengers changing hands, including top lot Mystical Jet, who flew around in 28.78.
Understandably, he attracted huge interest and was sold for £25,500. It was a huge amount of money for the son of Ballymac Cashout but he is clearly very talented. It’s worth remembering that 24 hours earlier, Derby favourite Bockos Diamond recorded 28.85, highlighting the quality of the trial from Mystical Jet.
