A statement from Orchestrate regarding the Towcester Parklands proposals

We are aware that the Towcester Parklands proposals have recently attracted renewed attention. They are not new, pre-date our involvement with Towcester Racecourse, and have been in the public domain for many months.

The proposals are early-stage, long-term outline concepts published by the landowner for the wider site. We enjoy a strong and collaborative relationship with the landowner, and the consultation will help give direction on the feasibility of the plans.

The plans cover a very large area of land, and there are no proposals to remove the horse racing track or greyhound track currently in place.

We wish to reassure our customers, partners and the wider racing community that the future of racing at Towcester Racecourse is secure. Orchestrate operates Towcester Racecourse under a long-term lease, and we are in the process of agreeing a longer lease. The future of racing and racing facilities at the venue are protected under the terms of that agreement.

Greyhound racing at Towcester Racecourse is in excellent health. The 2026 English Greyhound Derby was a tremendous success, reaffirming Towcester’s place at the heart of the sport, and our calendar continues as planned. We also remain hard at work on returning horses to the track.

We are grateful for the continued support of everyone who values Towcester Racecourse, and we look forward to welcoming you to the racecourse.
