If you want to make a difference then think about sending a donation to one of our chosen charities. Anything you can spare can make a positive change to the lives of others.
Crossing Cottage Greyhound Sanctuary
Towcester Racecoure works closely with multiple rehoming centres to ensure that our greyhounds can retire in peace and luxury when they have finished their racing careers.
One of these is the Crossing Cottage Greyhound Sanctuary, which is part of the Retired Greyhound Trust East Midlands charity group.
Crossing Cottage Greyhound Sanctuary is recognised as one of the countries best Greyhound Kennels and is run by a fantastic couple, John and Judith Morton. They have been working seven days a week, for over 20 years, with the help of volunteers, to ensure they provide the best possible care for up to 40 greyhounds at a time.
If you want to help out then there are plenty of ways you can get involved, from fostering, volunteer work, making a donation or just spreading the word. Any time, money or love you can spare will give these beautiful dogs the life that they deserve.
If you're a Greyhound lover and want to help us provide a loving, nurturing home for all of our Greyhounds then owning a Greyhound could be the perfect choice.
The second rehoming centre that Towcester Racecourse works alongside is Whittingham Kennels, run by Johanna Beumer.
Whittingham Kennels is part of the Greyhound Trust and is based near Waltham Abbey, their primary focus is to find their greyhounds loving homes where they can retire and relax after they have stopped racing.
All throughout the year, Whittingham Kennels will be running events to raise money to help improve the lives of the greyhounds they are currently looking after. Make sure you check in to see when the next event is taking place so you do not miss out!
If you want to get involved there are multiple ways you can help. Maybe you can rehome a retired greyhound, if not then why not help raise awareness or host some fundraising events for the kennels.
Sponsorship starts from as little as £1 a week, so stop yourself from getting 1 extra coffee each week and help to make a real difference to these incredible dogs lives.
Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity
Just because we are a racetrack that doesn’t mean it is all about the animals. We also want to raise awareness for one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals, the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
GOSH started way back in 1852, since then it has been raising money and awareness for children that really need your help. Not only that, they have been developing new and better ways to help treat childhood diseases which has improved countless peoples lives over the years.
GOSH set themselves the incredible task of raising over £100 million EVERY year through fundraising events & activities all over the country. If you want to find out how you can help then visit their site and start making a difference to young children and their families today.
