Traffic Update on the A5 to Towcester from Milton Keynes
A5 Potterspury Road Works
If you are joining us here at Towcester Racecourse over the next few weeks you may experience some delays if you are travelling from the Milton Keynes Area. There will be diversions in place so please allow extra time for these.
The road works on the A5 between the Old Stratford Roundabout and High Street, Potterspury are ongoing and the work remains on schedule. The road resurfacing element is underway and working north up to Poundfield Road.
The current traffic management arrangements are that the A5 carriageway will remain open during the day and will be closed overnight from Monday to Saturday between the hours of 8pm and 6am.
The first phase of the road works on the A5 between the Old Stratford Roundabout and High Street, Potterspury was completed this morning, two days ahead of schedule.
The second phase will start on Monday 15th May until 23rd June between Moorend Road, Potterspury and Grays Lane, Paulerspury. As before, the A5 carriageway will remain open during the day with speed restrictions in place, and will be closed overnight in both directions from Monday to Saturday between the hours of 8pm and 6am.
Over the Spring Bank Holiday in two weeks time, the road will remain open from Friday morning (26th) until Tuesday night (30th).
Phase 2 will start on 15th May and the overnight closure will be in place between Moorend Road, Potterspury and Grays Lane, Paulerspury for approximately 6 weeks.
